Heavy Equipment Operators

We are actively hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for active construction projects in Hyde Park, Poughkeepsie, and surrounding Dutchess County, NY
.

$30.00– $45.00 per hour , based on experience, qualifications, and equipment proficiency.

Overtime opportunities are available and paid in accordance with applicable federal and New York State requirements.

Experience operating one or more of the following is preferred:

• Excavators
• Backhoes
• Skid steers
• Loaders
• Crushers
• Other heavy construction and site-development equipment

• Safely operate heavy equipment on active construction sites
• Perform excavation, grading, site work, material handling, and related construction activities
• Follow site plans, layouts, grades, specifications, and supervisor direction
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections
• Identify and report equipment or safety concerns
• Perform basic equipment care and routine maintenance as appropriate
• Coordinate with supervisors, laborers, truck drivers, and other site personnel
• Follow all company, OSHA, and job-site safety procedures
• Help maintain a safe, productive, and efficient work environment

• 4+ years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred
• Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card
  preferred
• Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, site work, and construction-site safety
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate construction equipment
• Ability to read and understand site plans, layouts, and grades
• Ability to follow supervisor direction and work effectively with a construction team
• Equipment-specific licenses or certifications are a plus
• CDL is a plus, but not required
• Must be able to reliably report to assigned job sites in Dutchess County
