Associate Photographer – Poughkeepsie, NY

Role Overview

Associate Photographers are the talented and versatile team responsible for media collection for  and  Equipped with a Pro 3 Matterport, digital camera equipment and iPad, they create virtual tours, floor plans, and photography for residential homes. Each photographer is assigned a core territory and schedules appointments to scan homes and apartments, capture virtual tours, floor plans, and residential photography for marketing purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Support marketing efforts on  and  by capturing 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.
  • Create a portfolio of photographs that best feature homes and apartments using photography techniques to highlight the spaces.
  • Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities, initiatives, and tasks.
  • While not scanning a residential home, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real estate data coverage, identify new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties to be photographed.
  • Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment and represent CoStar in a professional manner.
  • Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.
Physical Requirements

Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day. Must lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds. Repetitive hand and arm movements for typing on a tablet or laptop and operating camera equipment. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying. Ability to work and drive outdoors in all seasons, including weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of professional experience and a track record of commitment to prior employers.
  • Real estate photography experience required; experience as a professional photographer or a recently earned degree in photography.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong customer service experience with a client‑first mindset.
  • Drone photographer with an FAA Part 107 License/Certification obtained within 30 days of offer.
  • Strong time‑management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to capture and enter data accurately.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and internet applications, plus Apple iOS products.
  • Preference for field experience and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license; satisfactory driving record required.

Compensation

Base salary: $49,000 – $50,000 annually. Compensation will be determined based on location, skills, and experience.
