Job Description:

Summary:

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic tutors to provide academic support to our students. Tutors will work one-on-one or in small groups to assist students in achieving their academic goals across a variety of subject areas, including but not limited to:

* Natural Sciences:
Biology, Earth Science, etc.

* Mathematics:
Developmental/Remedial through Pre-Calculus, Statistics

* Social Sciences & Humanities:
History, Government, Sociology, Writing

Responsibilities:

* Provide academic support through individual and group tutoring sessions

* Teach effective learning strategies to help students succeed in coursework

* Support students in developing study skills, time management, and confidence

* Adapt tutoring strategies to meet the diverse needs of students

Requirements:

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in the relevant content area or equivalent work experience

* 1-2 years of experience working with college or high school students

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to lead group tutoring sessions

Preferred Qualifications:

* Prior teaching or tutoring experience

* Experience working with English as a Second Language (ESL) students

* Knowledge and experience supporting underrepresented or first-generation college student
