• New York State teaching certification.
• Completion of a Frontline application.

• Follow the established curriculum and lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.
• Check in at the main office of the assigned school with the principal’s secretary.
• Report to the school office at the time listed in the AESOP substitute system and remain after school for ten minutes.
• Stay for the entire workday as scheduled by AESOP.
• Comply with all district and building procedures and schedules.
• Use the lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular teacher.
• Oversee classroom management.
• Ensure students are never left unsupervised.
• Move around the classroom, spending time instructing and helping students.

Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews may be conducted where appropriate.

Daily rate: $180/day
