Location: City of Poughkeepsie
Work Based Learning Coordinator
The Work-based learning coordinator works with teachers, students, and local businesses to find supportive and meaningful internships and apprenticeships that align with students' course of study. The role includes establishing relationships with local businesses, creating class visitations, securing guest speakers from local industries, and supporting and tracking students with their transition planning.
Employment Terms- Full‑time, 10‑month, tenure‑track assignment.

Principal
Qualifications & Experience- Valid NYS CTE Certification and WBL Certification.
- Experience as Coordinator of Work Based Learning Program for Career Development Extensions.
- Deep understanding of career and technical education (CTE) frameworks.
- Knowledge of local labor market trends and legal regulations such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and FERPA.
- Highly organized, self‑starter proficient in data tracking software, capable of independent judgment in problem‑solving, and confident advocate for student talent.
- Program & Placement Management.
- Partnership & Event Coordination.
- Compliance & Data Tracking.
