Job SummaryThe Athletics Department at Marist University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Assistant Coach II, Women’s Basketball. The position will report to the Head Coach, Women’s Basketball, and participate in all aspects of team management including practice and game preparation and execution. This position will serve as the program’s recruiting coordinator and is responsible for the organization of the women’s basketball staff’s recruiting efforts, as well as assisting in the identification, research of, and communication with prospective student-athletes.
The assistant coach will also assist in the academic, athletics, personal and career mentoring of student-athletes.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Valid driver's license with no serious convictions
- Recruit student-athletes to Marist University.
- Provide mentoring to student-athletes.
- Assist the head coach in game preparation, practice/training planning, team management.
- Collaborative work with coaching staff in overall team management.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by head coach and athletic director.
- Master’s degree

- 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity – Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution.
- Tuition Benefits:
- Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
- University pays 100% tuition only.
- Eligible dependents may be reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.
