School Social & Behavioral Sciences

$1,270 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist University. Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online, graduate, music, or lab courses.

The School of Social & Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a Part-Time Faculty, Education position for the  academic year. Opportunities to teach multiple/additional courses may become available. Successful candidates will teach, develop course materials, assist students as needed, and assess student work. Candidates will be contacted on an as-needed basis.

Candidates should have a Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution, and preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience.

• Teaching opportunities in educational technology, multicultural education, supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities, secondary transition planning for students with disabilities, and reading assessment and literacy intervention.
• Teaching undergraduate courses in both on-ground and online environments.
• Availability to teach during daytime hours.
• Bringing K-12 or practical educational experience into the classroom through personal background or guest speakers from a professional network.
• Open roles available starting in the Fall 2026 semester.
