Assistant Professor of Management

Overview

Assistant Professor of Management, tenure-track position in the Department of Management, School of Management at Marist University. Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000. This position is focused on teaching and scholarly activity in management and related fields, with an emphasis on quality teaching in a small-class setting.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management, human resource management, organizational behavior, and related subjects.
• Maintain an active program of disciplinary research leading to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
• Participate in School activities including committee work, student advising and support, and community outreach.
• Contribute to departmental life and service activities; support curriculum development and program assessment.
• Manage a typical course load of 21 credits per academic year, with a distribution of approximately 3:4 (three courses in one term and four in another).

• Terminal degree in management or a closely related field (Ph.D. or ABD with projected completion by December 2027).
• Professional experience is highly desirable.

• Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Maintaining an active research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications.
• Advising students, participating in service activities, and serving on committees as needed.

  • Employee, spouse, and dependent children under 26 eligible
  • University pays 100% tuition only for eligible dependents; reimbursements up to $2,000 per semester toward tuition at another accredited institution
