Vassar is a highly selective, coeducational liberal arts college of about 2400 undergraduate students, located in the Hudson Valley, seventy-five miles north of New York City. Vassar stands upon the homelands of the Munsee Lenape. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in both teaching and scholarship and will further develop the statistics pathway in the major, and help support growing student interest in statistics and data science at the College. The teaching load in the first year is four courses, and in subsequent years will be four classroom courses plus one “intensive” – a small-enrollment, closely mentored experience for undergraduates.

Candidates for this position must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and inclusivity in undergraduate education and must have completed a Ph.D. in statistics or related field at the time of appointment.
