The Dual-Certified Science / Special Education Teacher designs and delivers specialized science instruction for students with disabilities in classroom ratios of up to 15 students in a class. Aligning lessons with NYS Science Standards, the teacher modifies curricula to fulfill student IEP goals, manages compliance, and collaborates with families and school teams to close achievement gaps in an inclusive classroom.

SUPERVISES
: N/A

• Dual NYS certification in Science and Students with Disabilities (SWD).
• Teaching Science in special education settings and managing/writing NYS-compliant IEPs.
• Implementing positive behavioral supports in inclusive or self-contained classrooms.
• Strong skills for co-teaching, case management, and partnering with families and school teams.

• Plan and deliver modified, accessible mathematics lessons tailored to diverse learners.
• Write, implement, and monitor student IEP goals, maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
• Administer and analyze diagnostic math assessments to track progress and adjust interventions.
