Engineer – Electric Substation Design
A Substation Design Engineer performs engineering assignments related to planning/scoping, design, and project construction management of the various projects related to Central Hudson's system.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical mechanical or civil engineering
- Strong analytical, organizational, and quantitative skills
- Well-developed written/verbal communication skills are required to work independently and/or as a group in order to perform all tasks safely and design with safety in mind
- Possess the inter-personal skills necessary to maintain effective working relationships with and to be responsive to customers, fellow employees, and all of the Company's external relationships
- Flexibility to multitask and operate under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with innovation in mind
- Valid driver's license
Preferred:
- Field of study focused on power
- Experience working in the regulated utility industry
This position has a career path which allows for advancement opportunities within a job series. The title and level are commensurate with experience. Pay range: $82,600– $196,100
