Director, Cost Management

Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. is seeking a Director, Cost Management to lead cost strategy for large commercial real estate portfolios. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and project cost controls, ensuring financial discipline across capital and operating initiatives. Partnering with project management, finance, and procurement, you will analyze portfolio performance, optimize spend, mitigate risk, and develop reports for senior leaders and clients.

You will implement standards, tools, and KPIs, mentor a high-performing team, and support pricing and bids in a performance-driven, client-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management strategy and governance for major real estate and facility portfolios.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls across capital and operating projects.
• Analyze portfolio performance, develop dashboards, and present insights to senior leadership and clients.
• Partner with project management, finance, and procurement to optimize spend and mitigate risk.
• Establish standards, tools, and KPIs for cost tracking, reporting, and benchmarking.
• Support pricing, bids, and commercial models for new and existing client engagements.
• Negotiate and review contracts, change orders, and vendor proposals to ensure cost efficiency.
• Mentor and develop cost analysts and managers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive continuous improvement, leveraging technology, data, and best practices in cost management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and client requirements on financial controls and reporting.
