Location: Poughkeepsie, NY On Site

Hours: Per Diem – flexible hours (8 to 24 hours weekly)

Rate of Pay: $22.00 per hour

Overview of Primary Responsibilities
  • Be customer focused, able to multi‑task in a high volume community counseling center
  • Register new clients for services, verify insurance information, collect co‑pays, and schedule appointments
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages
  • Scan to electronic healthcare records, copy, file, and archive charts
  • Submit emails
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year in a clerical support role
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience working with electronic health records
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plus

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
Physical Characteristics
  • Must be capable of sitting or standing in front of a computer for long periods of time
  • Able to work in an open space floor plan
  • Must be capable of moving throughout the workday and follow people served throughout the community
  • Work alongside co‑workers within 3 feet
  • Must be able to move in tight spaces
  • Occasional lifting of > 25 pounds
