Location: City of Poughkeepsie
Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist conducts evaluations and offers therapeutic interventions for patients experiencing communication and/or swallowing difficulties as a result of illness, accident, birth defect or developmental delay.
Job Qualifications- Education: Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from ASHA accredited university
- Experience: Acute care experience preferred, including experience gained from graduate level clinical externship; strong dysphagia evaluation and treatment skills.
- Manual:
Little or no manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity - Occupational:
Little or no potential for occupational risk - Physical Effort:
Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force - Physical Environment:
Generally pleasant working conditions
