- Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- AHA BLS provider certification course required within 90 days from date of hire.
- Minimum of three (3) months experience as a PCT or currently in a junior semester of an Associates or Bachelor’s nursing program.

Requirements
- General knowledge of high school subject matter including sciences, simple medical procedures / terminology, and office equipment.
- BLS certification is required 90 days’ from date of hire.
- Documents legibly on all hospital forms using standardized abbreviations.
- Gets patient report from the RN and off-going PCT at the beginning of the shift. Gives end-of-shift report to the primary nurse and oncoming PCT at the end of the shift.
- Participates in walking rounds with the oncoming and off going PCT at shift change.
- Cleans treatment rooms, showers, commodes and IV poles after use.
- Cleans kitchens (refrigerators, ice machines, sinks, counters) as assigned.
