Medical Scribe - Poughkeepsie, NY

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything.
• Record patient history, examinations, and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow‑ups.
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proof of vaccinations (may be required).
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours a day.
• Access to a laptop for training; a company laptop will be provided after training.

• Outpatient (Doctor’s Office): weekday hours (≈8–5, Monday–Friday), with some offices offering evening or weekend shifts.
• Emergency Department: open 24/7.
• Part‑time: 2–3 shifts per week (typically 8 hours per shift).
• Full‑time: 3–4 shifts per week (typically 8 hours per shift, but can vary).
