Summary Under the direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, coordinates operation of the Phlebotomy Department, including ensuring staffing levels. Advises Supervisor of complaints and problems. This person will also guide and develop the performance of department personnel training and orienting new phlebotomists.
The Lead Phlebotomist will train Phlebotomists using training manuals and checklists. Acts in authority in the absence of the Phlebotomy Supervisor.

Job Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma / GED or equivalent is required.
Experience:
Must possess a minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Previous computer experience is preferred. Effective interpersonal skills are also required. License: N/A
