System Support Tech Apprentice

As a Systems Support Apprentice at IBM, you will work with a seasoned group of engineers and mentors to support our clients’ systems. The apprenticeship includes formal training and on‑the‑job learning over 12 months, culminating in a nationally‑recognized DOL credential. Once certified, you may apply for full‑time roles.

• Assist in supporting client systems using the latest tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with managers and mentors to progress through a personal skills roadmap.
• Demonstrate new knowledge and competencies through hands‑on application with project teams.

• Willingness to complete the requirements of the apprenticeship program.
• Some knowledge or experience with at least one of the following:
  • Operating Systems such as Windows or Linux
  • General networking and infrastructure fundamentals
  • Server or storage management

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Associate’s Degree or College Diploma (preferred).
• Drive and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
