Marshall and Sterling Inc is seeking a Software Application Specialist to support and optimize the insurance and financial applications that power our client service teams. In this role, you will configure and maintain core systems, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors, and ensure data integrity and smooth integrations. You will train staff, document processes, and support reporting needs. You'll join a collaborative, service-driven culture with strong opportunities for training, mentorship, and advancement in insurance and financial services technology.
Responsibilities
- Configure, implement, and support insurance and finance-related software applications for internal users and client-facing teams.
- Serve as primary point of contact for application issues, troubleshooting system errors and coordinating resolutions with IT and vendors.
- Analyze user needs and workflows to optimize system setup, permissions, and integrations with other business tools.
- Develop and maintain user documentation, job aids, and configuration standards for core applications.
- Train staff on new features, system upgrades, and best practices to enhance adoption and efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, data integrity, and security settings, escalating risks as needed.
- Participate in software upgrades, testing, and quality assurance to ensure successful deployments.
- Collaborate with operations, account management, and finance teams to streamline processes through technology solutions.
- Support reporting and data extraction for management, compliance, and client service needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve client and employee experience through better use of technology.
