Job DescriptionJ.S. Held’s Complex Accounting & Litigation team is seeking a seasoned and entrepreneurial Managing Director to lead and expand our investigative consulting services. This is a senior leadership role for a professional with deep experience in complex investigations and litigation —paired with a strong track record of building high-performing teams and growing a book of business.
As a Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the practice, leading high-impact engagements, mentoring talent, and cultivating long‑term client relationships across industries and geographies.
Strategic Leadership & Team Development- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of investigative professionals across multiple regions.
- Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture focused on quality, innovation, and client service.
- Drive internal knowledge sharing, training, and professional development initiatives.
- Oversee and execute complex, multi‑jurisdictional investigations involving regulatory inquiries, compliance reviews, financial transactions, and litigation support.
- Guide the development of client deliverables including reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic insight.
- Expand your book of business and contribute to the growth of the Global Investigations Practice.
- Develop and implement go‑to‑market strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with law firms, financial institutions, and corporate clients.
- Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.
- 10+ years of experience in investigative consulting, compliance, or forensic advisory roles.
- Proven leadership experience with a focus on team development and client delivery.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Experience working across international jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position during work shift

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $240k - $260k.Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limitedto skillset,experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
