Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $18–$20 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Overtime available on Fridays

We are seeking an experienced Cutoff Machine Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Poughkeepsie, NY. This role is best suited for someone who already has a solid foundation in machine operation or a similar production role and can work efficiently while maintaining strong quality standards. This position involves operating both automated and manual equipment, handling materials, and ensuring parts are cut accurately and moved through production correctly.

• Select and prepare the correct raw materials based on job requirements
• Set up and operate cutoff machines and related production equipment
• Run multiple machines at the same time, including manual and automated equipment
• Measure and verify lengths, angles, part counts, and material types
• Spot-check parts throughout production to ensure quality and accuracy
• Deburr finished parts using grinders and hand tools
• Move completed materials and parts to the next department
• Perform basic in-process quality control and report any issues
• Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe work area
• Assist with material movement using a forklift as needed

• Previous experience as a Cutoff Machine Operator or in a similar machine operator/manufacturing role required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications
• Strong tape measure skills and ability to work with precise measurements
• Experience using grinders, hand tools, and shop equipment
• Good math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Forklift experience
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and organizational skills

• Ability to stand and work on your feet for 10-hour shifts
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials regularly
• Physical stamina to work in an active manufacturing environment
