Certified Nurse Midwife position at Optum in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Position Highlights- Collegial multispecialty group practice with a large referral base
- Focus on team-based care
- Excellent support staff and dedicated practice management systems
- Full complement of clinical and administrative support teams, including a dedicated Medical Assistant for each provider
- Participate in initial examination of obstetrical patients and collaborate with the MD to share responsibility for care, treatment, and delivery of patients
- Examine patients during pregnancy, using physical findings, laboratory test results, and patient statements to evaluate condition and ensure patient progress is normal
- Discuss cases with Obstetrician to assure observation of specified practices
- Instruct patients in diet and prenatal health practices
- Stay with patients during labor to reassure them and administer medication
- Deliver infants and perform postpartum examinations and treatments to ensure patients and infants are responding normally
- Master’s degree and Midwifery certificate
- Completion of a Midwifery Education Program
- Four years of clinical Midwifery experience, with references
- Current NYS Midwife License and AMCB certification

Salary range: $117,500 to $165,500 annually based on full-time employment.
