Overview
Position Title: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Job Type: Contract | Travel
Shift: Days (5×8)
Duration: 8-Week Assignment
Hourly Pay: $70 to $78/hr
Weekly Pay: $2,625 to $2,925/week
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
- Administer conscious sedation safely and monitor patients throughout procedures.
- Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, and other necessary procedures with precision and care.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiology technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided in compliance with hospital policies.
- Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, post-procedure care, and recovery.
- Follow strict infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
- Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience required.
- Proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy.
- Experience with conscious sedation.
- Active New York State RN License with primary source verification.
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management abilities.
