Certified Nurse Midwife / Women's Health NP, Outpatient Only, Poughkeepsie, NY

Vassar Brothers Medical Center, a proud member of Nuvance Health and recently joined Northwell Health, is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join our growing OB/GYN group. This is an outpatient‑only full‑time position. We currently have 5 midwives and aim to expand our team to 7 to provide 24/7 midwifery coverage alongside our physician colleagues.

The ideal candidate is dedicated to the midwifery model of patient empowerment grounded in compassion and shared decision making.

• Experienced Certified Nurse Midwife or Women’s Health NP
• Commitment to evidence‑based care and midwifery practice model
• Team player with excellent communication skills, able to build rapport and trust with patients and families
• Reliable, adaptable, and highly competent clinically with a strong sense of compassion and empathy
• Commitment to patient education, cultural sensitivity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and lifelong learning
• Full‑time outpatient schedule: 5 clinic days per week (80 hours per two‑week pay period), Monday‑Friday

Our practice offices are located in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, and Highland, working alongside 7 board‑certified physicians. The practice admits exclusively to Vassar Brothers Medical Center, where the labor and delivery unit sees about 2,800 births per year. A Level

III NICU, perinatology program, and dedicated breast surgeons and GYN‑oncologists are on site.
