WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a high performing L&D team at a respected hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. The ideal clinician is confident in fetal monitoring, labor management, emergency response, and supporting providers throughout the childbirth process.
Job Function- Night Shift.
- 3x12.
- Assess and categorize patients into the appropriate level of care
- Apply and inter.ret external fetal monitoring, including fetal heart tracings and uterine activity
- Implement timely interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal condition
- Identify and respond to obstetric emergencies, escalating to providers appropriately
- Administer medications safely in accordance with the Five Rights and infection control standards
- Perform pain assessments and reassess per clinical guidelines
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
- Active New York State RN License
- NRP - Advanced
- BLS
- NCC C EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- 3+ years of current Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience in a high risk OB setting
- Strong background in managing obstetric emergencies
