Here at Optum, part of the largest network of medical groups in the nation, we are seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our growing OB/GYN team in Poughkeepsie, New York. Position highlights include a collegial multispecialty group practice with a large referral base, focus on team-based care, excellent support staff and dedicated practice management systems, and a full complement of clinical and administrative support teams to assist with patient care.
Responsibilities include participating in initial examination of obstetrical patient, examining patient during pregnancy, instructing patient in diet and prenatal health practices, staying with patient during labor to reassure patient and to administer medication, and delivering infant and performing postpartum examinations and treatments.

Required qualifications include a master's degree and midwifery certificate, completion of midwifery education program, four years of clinical midwifery experience, current NYS midwife license and AMCB certification.
