• Support the nurse manager’s implementation of the strategic plan through effective communication.
• Actively participate in interviewing, hiring, coaching, and counseling of staff.
• Develop and sustain relationships with team members, patients, and families based on trust and respect.
• Uphold the Culture of C.A.R.E. to create a culture of connectedness, awareness, respect, and empathy.
• Inspire and motivate team members by modeling leadership and professional behaviors.
• Ensure team members utilize patient‑centered best practices and champion a just culture.
• Support employee engagement and execute action plans that promote a healthy work environment.
• Demonstrate core clinical competencies for the patient population under oversight.
• Act as a professional role model and clinical expert, promoting standards of professional practice.
• Remain current on population health knowledge, scope and standards of practice, and healthcare legislation.
• Support frontline staff inclusion in change forums and projects impacting their practice.
• Demonstrate knowledge of business needs for day‑to‑day operations on the unit.
• Assure day‑to‑day staffing and resources are planned and reconciled for the shift.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

• 4-6 years of technical experience required.
• 0-2 years of leadership/management experience required.

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
• Specialized certifications as needed.
