Vassar Brothers Medical Center (VBMC) is a 349-bed regional medical center overlooking the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, New York. As a tertiary teaching hospital, VBMC offers comprehensive, subspecialized medical, surgical, and obstetrical/gynecological services to the entire community.

Utilizes the principles of the nursing process to provide for the continuity and quality of nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care department.

• NYS RN License Required
• Accredited School of Nursing Graduate
• 1-3 Years Med/Surg Experience Required, Endoscopy Experience Preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS Required

• Significant manual skills / motor coordination and finger dexterity
• Significant occupational risk
• Very heavy effort, may exert up to 50 lbs. force
• Significant exposure to dirt, odor, noise, human waste, etc.
