Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) House Float.

The facility is a 258-bed center recognized for subacute and long-term care. We provide a calm, friendly, and healthy environment for residents and employees. Located at 1 Commons Drive, Lake Katrine, NY 12449.

The pay range for this position is $38.50-$41.00/hr.

Registered Nurse (RN) Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work under guidelines established by the Nurse Practice Act, facility policies and procedures, and sound nursing judgment.
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for patients/residents requiring long-term and/or rehabilitative care.
  • Deliver nursing care to patients/residents requiring long-term and/or rehabilitative care.
  • Implement the patient/resident plan of care and evaluate responses.
  • Direct and supervise care provided by other nursing personnel.
  • Provide input in the formulation and evaluation of standards of care.
  • Maintain knowledge of required documentation requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use (e.g., monitors, infusion devices, drain devices).
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with patient/resident rights and related information.
  • Provide education to patients/residents, families, and caregivers as appropriate and/or directed.
  • Conduct themselves professionally in accordance with unit and facility policies.
  • Possess availability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
Required

Education and Experience
  • Must be a graduate of a basic professional nursing education program.
  • Minimum of one year of medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting or long-term care setting (acute/critical care experience is preferred).
  • Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state(s) of practice. Must have reliable transportation.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning and delivering nursing care to patients/residents requiring long-term and/or rehabilitative care.
