Seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for a 13-week travel assignment in the ED Holds & Observation Unit. Join a 349-bed acute care teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center serving the Hudson Valley region. This opportunity offers exposure to a fast-paced emergency environment, diverse patient populations, and a collaborative clinical team.
As an ED RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process while caring for patients requiring emergency, observation, and holding services. This role is ideal for experienced emergency nurses seeking to expand their clinical expertise in a high-acuity setting.

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency department setting
- Provide care to patients in ED Holds and Observation areas
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergent situations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring compliance with facility policies and standards
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Experience in a busy, high-volume emergency setting strongly preferred
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- Current CPR certification (as applicable)
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- TB screening, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must be at least 18 years of age
