About This Role
The Travel RN - Registered Nurse (L&D) position at Northwell Health involves providing specialized nursing care for patients in labor and delivery. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking for a flexible assignment with competitive pay.
Highlights- Pay: $3,000+/week
- Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
- Facility: Northwell Health
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
- Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
- Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
- Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
- Assess level of pain and pain management.
- Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
- Assess patient’s psychosocial health status.
- Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
- Identify cultural/ethnic requirements to reduce anxiety and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS, Advance NRP, Intermediate AWHONN, C-EFM required.
