About This Role

The Travel RN - Registered Nurse NICU position involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking for a flexible staffing opportunity.

• Pay: $3k+/week
• Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
• Facility: Northwell Health
• Schedule: Full-Time

• Assess the patient's physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate and document patient's physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Assess patient's psychosocial health status.
• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities to achieve expected outcomes.

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.

  Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required.
• BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
