Registered Nurse Unit Manager (Day Shift) Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at River Valley in Poughkeepsie, New York. As a Unit Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our skilled nursing unit, providing exceptional care to our residents, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment for our nursing staff.

• Oversee the daily operations of our skilled nursing unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and maintaining regulatory compliance
• Coordinate and manage the care of a diverse group of residents, including those with complex medical conditions and psychosocial needs
• Provide guidance and support to our nursing staff, including orientation, training, and performance evaluations
• Collaborate with other departments, such as therapy and social services, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including incident reports, medication administration records, and unit statistics

• Current New York State RN licensure
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with 1+ year of experience in a Unit Manager or similar leadership role
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills, with ability to assess and prioritize patient needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
