Job description:
We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about ensuring the highest quality standards in food and beverage manufacturing. This full-time position (1 PM - 9 PM) offers a shift differential for those working the 2nd shift. If you have a knack for quality inspection and a commitment to food safety, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Perform in-process and finished product inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Monitor and document Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Preventive Controls in accordance with HACCP plans
- Conduct pre-operational inspections to verify sanitation and food safety readiness
- Accurately complete quality records, logs, and production documentation to support audit requirements
- Verify compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and company food safety policies
- Identify and document non-conforming product or processes, and elevate issues as needed
- Conduct and verify metal detection checks to ensure product safety
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality deviations
- Support SQF, FDA, and customer audit preparation and compliance activities
- Collect product samples and assist with testing and environmental monitoring programs
- Communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally with production and leadership teams
- Previous experience in quality assurance or food safety within a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and food safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation
- Ability to identify deviations and follow established procedures for escalation
- Comfortable working on the production floor in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation systems
- Experience with SQF-certified facilities
- Familiarity with food safety audits and regulatory inspections
2nd Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (or until production is complete)
