Location: City of Poughkeepsie

Our client, a leading organization in the food production industry, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manufacturing professional to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Manufacturing specialist, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the production and safety of food products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Pay Range: $24.00/hr

Shift: Monday to Friday- 1:00pm-9:00pm

What's the Job?
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance within the production facility.
  • Perform quality assurance testing on raw materials, wet/dry mixes, and finished products to ensure standards are met.
  • Support and enforce GMPs, SOPs, and safe work practices across the team.
  • Monitor and perform HACCP checks, document findings, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing, calibration, and quality control activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
What's Needed?
  • Ability to follow and understand food safety and quality standards reflected in SQF and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise testing and calibration of equipment.
  • Effective communication skills to report issues and collaborate with team members.
  • Willingness to adhere to GMPs, SOPs, and safe work practices consistently.
  • Basic knowledge of microbiological testing and quality control procedures is preferred.
