Campus Security Officer – Poughkeepsie, NY

Pay Rate: $25.05 per hour. Full‑time and part‑time opportunities available. This role strives to maintain a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors in Poughkeepsie, NY.

• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols throughout campus grounds and buildings.
• Monitor campus activity and identify potential security or safety concerns.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and requests for assistance.
• Control access to facilities and verify credentials as needed.
• Complete detailed incident, activity, and daily reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
• Enforce site policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Assist with emergency response procedures and campus events as required.

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Minimum of 6 months of security experience required.
• Campus security experience preferred, but not required.
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Strong communication and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Must be reliable, professional, and willing to commute to Poughkeepsie, NY.
