We are expanding our school security team and seeking professional, reliable, and motivated individuals to join us in providing a safe and secure learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Position OverviewSchool Security Officers play a critical role in maintaining a safe and orderly school environment. Officers will patrol premises, monitor for safety concerns, and serve as a visible and approachable presence for students and staff.
Responsibilities- Carry out safety and security procedures, including site-specific policies and emergency response protocols
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with students, staff, and visitors
- Conduct routine and random patrols of school grounds, entrances, and perimeters
- Monitor for suspicious activity, disturbances, or unauthorized access
- Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or critical situations
- Complete incident reports and communicate safety concerns to supervisors or law enforcement when needed
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must hold a valid New York State Security Guard License
- Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Good physical condition to meet the demands of the role
- 2+ years of full-time law enforcement experience
- 2+ years of military service (honorable discharge)
- 3+ years of school security officer experience
- $25.90/hour starting pay
- Weekly pay with direct deposit
