Maintenance Technician General Description
The Maintenance Technician’s main duties include routine plumbing, carpentry, masonry, electrical, HVAC and construction for all HRH owned properties. Hudson River Housing is looking for someone who demonstrates dedication, reliability, and is highly skilled in these trades.
Principal DutiesExperience:
A minimum of 5 years proven experience in the building maintenance field is required; this includes plumbing, carpentry, masonry, HVAC and electrical. Must have a full understanding of basic construction and general small equipment repair skills.
Required Behaviors:
You are expected to be dependable and able to maintain an openness to a myriad of different tasks. Staff must maintain the ability to work independently but also able to function as part of a team. It is necessary to be detail oriented, able to follow directions and have a sense of pride in completed work. Every employee should demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the team.
All maintenance staff must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift at least 70 pounds, climb stairs while carrying objects, work in extreme temperatures outdoors and be able to climb a ladder.
