Location: City of Poughkeepsie
Purpose
The Tradesman Electrician assumes responsibility for routine, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs for all electrical systems and components, and is familiar with fire and disaster plans as directed by Director of Engineering and/or Engineering Supervisor. In conjunction responsible for the electrical component of all types of pumps, electric motors, air compressors, vacuum pump, diesel engines, emergency generators and electrical distribution panels and controls and familiar with current pertinent codes and requirements.

- Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or GED
Skills and Abilities
Requirements
- Proven 3-5 years of experience as a proven maintenance Electrician.
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Physically strong and able to stand for long periods.
- Good communication skills
- Dutchess County Electrical License E-1
