Nargi Landscaping is seeking an experienced Softscape / Plant Install Crew Leader to lead landscape planting projects throughout the Hudson Valley. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys working outdoors, and can lead a crew while delivering exceptional results for our clients.

The Softscape / Plant Install Crew Leader is responsible for managing and executing landscape planting projects from start to finish. This includes reading plans, laying out plant material, overseeing installation quality, coordinating materials and equipment, and ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.

• Project Execution: Read and interpret work orders, planting plans, and design layouts
• Project Execution: Layout plant material accurately according to plans
• Project Execution: Lead installation of trees, shrubs, perennials, and other landscape materials
• Project Execution: Ensure proper planting depth, root flare exposure, soil preparation, staking, and watering practices
• Project Execution: Perform client walkthroughs when needed
• Jobsite Management: Coordinate materials, deliveries, trucking, and disposal
• Jobsite Management: Ensure all required tools and equipment are available on site
• Jobsite Management: Protect existing lawns, driveways, and landscape features
• Jobsite Management: Utilize turf protection and damage prevention measures
• Jobsite Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Quality Control: Verify plant spacing, grades, and installation quality throughout the project
• Quality Control: Conduct daily quality inspections
• Quality Control: Complete punch-list items before project completion
• Quality Control: Take closeout photos and document completed work
• Quality Control: Provide post-install care instructions when applicable
• Daily Responsibilities: Morning review of project plans and daily goals
• Daily Responsibilities: Confirm plant quantities and layout prior to installation
• Daily Responsibilities: Monitor crew productivity and workmanship throughout the day
• Daily Responsibilities: Complete end-of-day cleanup and site restoration
• Daily Responsibilities: Submit project notes, photos, and follow-up items

• Landscape installation experience required
• Previous crew leadership experience preferred
• Knowledge of plant identification and planting practices
• Ability to read landscape plans and layouts
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to operate landscape equipment and trucks preferred
