Position: DIESEL / HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

NOW HIRING: DIESEL / HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

We are seeking an experienced Diesel / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair a fleet of heavy construction equipment supporting active excavation, site-development, and infrastructure projects.

Pay: $35–$45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Excavators
Backhoes
Front-end loaders
Skid steers
Graders

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy construction equipment
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, transmission, brake, and fuel systems
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections
Identify equipment issues before they lead to major downtime
Perform both shop and field repairs
Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair needs
Work with equipment operators and site supervisors to prioritize repairs
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
Order parts and coordinate with vendors as needed
Maintain an organized, safe, and professional work area
Follow company and job-site safety procedures

What We're Looking For:

4-5+ years of hands-on diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred
Strong experience repairing heavy construction equipment
Solid knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, and mechanical systems
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Experience with diagnostic software such as CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, or similar systems is a major plus
Ability to read technical manuals, electrical schematics, and repair diagrams
Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair priorities
Valid driver's license required
CDL is a plus, but not required
Must provide basic hand tools; specialized tools and equipment are provided by the company
Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship
