Class B CDL Driver - Hazmat Certification
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $ per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Our client, a local manufacturing company in Poughkeepsie, is seeking a dependable Class B CDL Driver with a Hazmat endorsement to make local product deliveries between work locations. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule.
Trucks are loaded at the beginning of the day so you can get started on your delivery route. When you're not driving, you'll assist with warehouse and material-handing tasks, making this a great fit for someone who enjoys a combination of driving and hands-on work.
Responsibilities- Operate company vehicles safely to complete local deliveries.
- Transport products between work locations.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Palletize orders and organize warehouse materials.
- Keep the warehouse clean and maintain an orderly work environment.
- Perform manual labor and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Maintain flexibility to work overnight shifts when required.
- Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement
. - Clean driving record.
- CDL driving experience required; experience transporting hazardous materials is a plus.
- Oil truck, garbage truck, or similar commercial driving experience is encouraged.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable performing manual labor in addition to driving responsibilities.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and following transportation regulations.
