Substitute Secretary applications screenings will be ongoing (as needed) throughout the year.
~This is not an actual job opening - your application indicates your interest in becoming a Secretary substitute for the North Kitsap School District.
~By completing this area, you will NOT automatically be considered for any Secretary openings. It will be up to you to monitor our website and submit your application for positions that you are interested in as they occur.
~Actual NKSD positions will most likely include other specific information (which will be determined at the time of posting) so be sure to check those requirements.
NOTE:
Substitutes who do not accept any jobs within a 90-day calendar period (excluding summer break) without providing advance notice via email or voicemail will be removed from the substitute list and moved to INACTIVE status. Anyone who has been removed from the substitute list for this reason and then wishes to work for NKSD again must apply via Fast Track, attend orientation and complete required online training.
Background checks will be conducted.
Regular employees who have separated from service and wish to substitute for North Kitsap School District must apply via Fast Track, complete required online courses and attend orientation. If separation from service is less than 90 days prior, no new application is necessary, but online course completion and orientation attendance may be required. Background checks will be conducted.
All new substitutes will be paid for training (minimum wage) after completing the mandatory online courses, attending onsite training and completing all required paperwork.
Substitutes who drop more than one job in a four-week period will be subject to review of their work records with North Kitsap School District. This could result in being removed from the substitute list. A job is considered "dropped" if a substitute declines it (after having accepted it) less than 36 hours prior to the job start and does not provide notice via email or voicemail.
Conditions of Employment
* I hereby certify that all the information I have provided in this application is true, complete and correct. I authorize the school district(s) to which I am applying to conduct a background investigation into my past employment, education, vocational, and other activities such as my credit and criminal background. To conduct this investigation, I authorize the School District to obtain a consumer report or similar information regarding me to the extent necessary to evaluate my suitability for employment.
Further, if I am hired, I authorize the School District at any time during my employment, to obtain a consumer report or similar information regarding me for the purposes of promoting, reassigning, or retaining me as an employee. I understand that a consumer report is a communication by a consumer reporting agency that bears on a consumer's character and general reputation, and may include, but is not limited to, credit checks and criminal background information.
I further authorize any current/former employer, person, firm, corporation, educational or vocational institution, or government agency to provide the districts to which I am applying with information regarding me. I hereby release and discharge the School District and those who provide, receive or use such information from any and all liability as a result of furnishing and receiving this information.
I further agree that if an offer of employment is made to me, I will provide verification of my certification, education and experience. I understand and agree that false or misleading information, including omissions, in my application or interview(s) shall be sufficient cause for dismissal or refusal to hire. References and personal information that become a part of this application will be regarded as confidential and shall not be revealed to me.
I understand that any offer of employment that may be made to me is conditional and subject to the acceptable outcome of a criminal history background information check and fair credit reporting; and the approval of the District's Board of Directors Such information includes copies of all related documents, including any rebuttal documents, in personnel, investigative or other files, in accordance with the laws of the state of Washington.
I also release the employer(s) and employees, acting on behalf of the employer, from any liability for providing information described in this document.
