About the Role
This associate bank manager (ABM) works closely with the Branch Manager to attain branch and bank goals by ensuring day-to-day operational excellence, supervising and leading Tellers, and providing breakthrough client service.
Responsibilities include:
- Process transactions and place clients in appropriate account and loan products, cross-sell services, and make referrals.
- Ensure branch meets or exceeds operations standards and maintain satisfactory audits.
- Monitor sales and service goals and coach team members to deepen customer relationships using client and business financial reviews.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with consumers and businesses in the local community.
- Act as backup to the personal banking team to open new accounts, receive loan requests, and gather credit-related information.
- Manage, lead, train, and coach Tellers, and may oversee personal bankers in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
- Process and oversee technical tasks such as opening/closing the branch, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers and collections, stop payments, and monitoring branch controls.
- High School Diploma or GED (required). Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in banking, business, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of retail banking experience (required).
- Minimum 1 year of management or supervisory experience (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of consumer and small business lending origination experience (preferred).
- Customer service background in retail or banking.
- Demonstrated ability to grow sales by developing lasting, knowledge-based relationships with clients.
- Demonstrated leadership skills dealing with difficult customer and associate conversations in a professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Proficient in spreadsheets and banking computer systems, and able to operate office equipment and perform repetitive tasks.
This position requires the ABM to act as a Bank Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO). The ABM is authorized to take mortgage loan applications, offer a mortgage, arrange a mortgage and assist consumers in obtaining a mortgage for open-end transactions (e.g., home equity lines of credit) only. All MLOs must register as MLOs per the SAFE Act. The ABM is not authorized to act as a Bank Closed-End MLO.
Compensation- Pay range: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour.
