Position: FALL PROTECTION INSTALLER

Responsibilities
  • Understand the scope of work, job descriptions, materials, tools required, etc. for completing assigned projects.
  • Attend and participate in the project installation planning process.
  • Read and interpret project documents and drawings, provided by the engineering team.
  • Generate site‑specific safety documents.
  • Travel to client locations for installations and inspections of fall protection systems (approximately 50% travel).
  • Assist with the layout and setup of each job, by the direction provided.
  • Install equipment in a quality and timely manner, always keeping safety in mind.
  • Assist in solving job‑related problems and ensure project success.
  • Adhere to Gravitec’s fall protection standards, safety programs, policies and quality standards.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Assist in the organization of the shop and warehouse, work spaces, hardware, and raw materials to ensure consistent and effective workflow.
  • Collaborate with other departments as directed.
  • Maintain required training and certifications.
  • Provide suggestions to management regarding improvements and increased efficiencies in Gravitec’s operations.
  • Knowledgeable in applicable federal and state guidelines and requirements.
  • Proficient in current industry software including MS Office.
  • Proficient in fall protection, rescue, and rigging techniques (training can be provided).
  • Proficient with hand and specialty tools.
  • Knowledgeable of steel fabrication, system installation, and testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documents.
  • Competitive hourly compensation between $24 – $30 depending on experience.
  • Medical / Dental / Vision insurance plan.

  • Paid vacation – Employees accrue 80 hours of vacation time per year.
  • 7 paid holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
  • Paid sick time in accordance with Washington State Law.
Desired Qualifications (may be achieved after hire)
  • Fall Protection Competent Person training.
  • OSHA 10 or 30.
  • Industrial rope access training.
  • Current CPR/First Aid training.

  • In good physical condition and capable of lifting 50 lbs.

  • Basic understanding of engineered drawings.
  • Follows directions and completes all assigned tasks.

  • Builds collaborative relationships, functioning as part of a team as well as working independently.
  • Driven to grow personally and professionally by participating in industry and product‑related seminars, workshops, and training.
  • Diligently follows all safety guidelines and policies to ensure a safe work environment.
