Accounting Intern

Expectations for this position are 16 – 24 hours per week on‑site at our Poway, CA facility. The internship lasts until the end of the academic semester and includes both classroom learning and practical workplace exposure.

• Supports the Accounting department with general administration.
• Accurately reconciles customer accounts receivable.
• Follows up with customers on overdue items.
• Reviews and sends monthly statements.
• Accurately sets up new customer and vendor accounts.
• Creates and sends customer invoices.
• Completes inventory analysis.
• Reconciles logistics monthly spend.
• Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.
• Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization’s standards and policies.
• Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or recent graduate.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Power
  
  BI and Power Pivot experience strongly preferred.
• Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail with well‑developed organizational skills.
