Sr Accountant

LHH has partnered with a growing, organization who’s seeking a Sr Accountant to play a key role in supporting core financial functions and strengthening overall accounting operations. This position partners closely with senior finance leadership. Responsibilities of this Sr Accountant role include:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll-related postings, and general ledger activity
• Assist in the development and preparation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines
• Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and reliability of financial data
• Provide leadership, guidance, and development support to members of the accounting team
• Delegate and prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines and organizational goals are consistently achieved
• Support the establishment and maintenance of internal controls in alignment with company policies and accounting standards
• Collaborate on audit processes by compiling required documentation and addressing inquiries
• Assist with tax compliance activities and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements
• Analyze existing accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Participate in system upgrades, implementations, and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of accounting procedures and workflows
• Partner cross-functionally with teams such as operations, sales, and engineering to ensure financial data integrity
• Deliver insights and analysis to support budgeting, cost control, and strategic decision-making

Minimum requirements include:

• Bachelors in Accounting
• 3-5 years of accounting experience with familiarity with GAAP
• Proficiency with Quick Books
