• Greet and welcome kids to the program at the end of their school day.
• Organize and lead activities, including homework help, recreation games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
• Join in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Create unique clubs for students (examples include career readiness, cooking, anime, and dance).
• Maintain a secure environment by following safety protocols, monitoring student behavior, and managing group dynamics.
• Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Encourage participation and enthusiasm while adapting activities to meet students  diverse needs and interests.

• At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
• Strong communication skills to talk with both kids and parents.
• College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed OR ability to take and pass an academic proficiency exam.
• TB test results showing negative, and ability to pass a Live Scan background check.
• English-Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
• COVID-19 vaccination documentation if required by the school site.

• Part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Site Coordinator.
• Monday to Friday (required).
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (one day per week may be a minimum day, approximately 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM depending on the school).
• Ability to commute/relocate reliably before starting work.
