After School Program Assistant; Special Education

Compensation: $16.90 - $28.00/hour. Pay varies by assignment, certification, and school.

• Paid training hours and professional development (variable by state)
• Weekly direct deposit paychecks

• Some college credits (≥48 units)
• State and federal background checks
• Three references, at least one with experience working with children (non‑family)
• TB risk assessment or test required

• Experience in Special Education
• Experience with elementary‑aged students
• Available 5 days a week, Monday‑Friday
• Commitment to daily 4‑hour shifts between 1 pm and 6 pm

• Support and engage students during after‑school activities, including homework help, enrichment, and structured play
• Supervise students to ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment indoors and outdoors
• Assist staff with daily program routines, transitions, and behavior management while building strong student relationships
• Maintain physical readiness: sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 lbs as needed
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, including indoor and outdoor settings
