Accounting Manager - Poway, CA

HEICO is recruiting an Accounting Manager for Southwest Antennas Inc., our newly acquired Poway, CA-based subsidiary. Southwest Antennas designs, manufactures and delivers high-performance rugged antenna solutions for rapidly evolving wireless markets.

The candidate will be hands-on and responsible for all accounting functions in a small-to-medium company. The role reports to the COO of Southwest Antennas and has a dotted line to the VP of Accounting & Finance, HEICO Electronic Technologies Group.

• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to Southwest Antennas and to HEICO Corporation.
• Prepare weekly forecast reports and the annual budget, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Analyze product/job cost trends and operational performance, determining potential issues and areas for improvement.
• Support the Sales Team with evaluating customer credit applications and determining credit limits per HEICO policy.
• Review incoming customer orders and evaluate them based on HEICO's revenue recognition policy.
• Assist with managing inventory valuation, tracking/valuing materials, work in progress and finished goods at month-end.
• Oversee the cycle count program and annual physical inventory count, reviewing obsolescence and excess inventory per company policy.
• Assist with development of accounting reports including monthly and quarterly REACH reports.
• Assist with Accounts Payable documentation and processing (including expense reports).
• Assist with posting of deposits and payments to customer accounts, working closely with Accounts Receivable to ensure proper allocation and resolve issues.
• Assist with implementation of financial and IT controls to ensure compliance with HEICO's SOX 404 requirements.
• Provide financial, administrative and operational support, especially in cost and inventory control and process improvement.
• Ensure local tax and regulatory filings and compliance.
• Perform other related ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA and/or CMA designation a plus.
• Seven plus years of relevant experience, including strong cost accounting.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Experience with Net Suite manufacturing software a plus.
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of all aspects of accounting, financial analysis and planning (forecasting, budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, cash flow analysis, cost reduction initiatives, capital evaluation and justification, internal controls, cost accounting).
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, able to interact with employees at all levels, including senior management.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills; able to manipulate high volumes of data.
• Highly responsive to requests, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
